JRHA builds and operates state-of-the-art knee and hip replacement centers that specialize in the most advanced methods of joint replacement surgery and sports medicine.
CONCEPT: Small, super-specialized surgical and recovery centers (2 operating rooms, 12 beds) focusing on hip and knee replacement procedures and sports medicine. Each of the 11 facilities, built over a 7-year time period, will offer the state-of-the art technological advances in implant material and advanced surgical procedures, including minimally invasive surgery, computer assisted surgery and robotics.
OPPORTUNITY: Due to aging populations of the Baby Boomers and their demand for a continued active lifestyle coupled with advances in new surgical techniques and implants materials the industry is expected to have substantial growth over the next decades, and understand the potential of small joint replacement centers located near carefully selected areas of elder populations.
VALIDATION: Patient care and results can be much better because a hip and knee replacement center allows the staff and the orthopedic surgeons to focus on the unique needs of hip and knee replacement and sports medicine patients. By constructing a center specifically for these types of procedures, the surroundings and overall patient experience will be much more pleasurable than the same procedure in a full-service hospital.
STATUS: The first joint replacement & sports medicine center will be located in Indio – in the Coachella Valley of California (an area with a significant elder population that includes the cities of Palm Springs, Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indio and La Quinta). Architectural concepts have been developed, and construction could begin within 9-12 months of initial funding.
